Then make sure you watch the video How to do a Headlice Treatment. This 9-minute video will show you, in real time, just how to effectively treat your child’s head. The idea is to show you just how simple and easy it actually is – that it doesn’t need to be that hard. Because it’s not. In the Parent Pack you’ll find all the steps written down on a printable sheet called Drama Free 10 Steps to Get Rid of Headlice, that you can have handy when you begin.
Once you’ve watched the video and read through the sheet, be sure to also print out the Lettuce Boy’s Smart Chart and stick it on your fridge. This is something your child can tick off as you go along, marking your progress. It is super helpful to keep you both on track and not let the little blighters get a foothold because you forgot to do a day of treatment!
To keep your child involved, they can colour in the Lettuce Boy’s poem and there’s also a worksheet in the Parent Pack called the Counting Headlice Worksheet. If you’ve still got a wriggler on your hands, check out the handy info on the sheet called What to do When Your Child Won’t Sit Still. There are lots more ideas of how to keep your little one engaged and able to sit still while you complete the treatments – not easy for a little ball of energy like your child. But not impossible – it just takes a little creativity.
This Parent Pack is ideal for your very first experience with nits and lice and will get you off to a great start. But it’s also wonderful for those who have been down this track many times before with lots of hassle and negativity. It’s never too late to change your tune, so download the free pack HERE, read through everything, watch and video and away you go. Drama free treatment, for happier kids and parents everywhere.
