Alongside the newborn items and the booklet, I also include a sachet of Australian wildflower seeds from Bee Kind Australia to welcome baby while helping to save our native bees. Each packet of seeds is printed with a gentle ‘Welcome Baby’ or similar sweet phrase. As an added extra, every box also has a small bath salt or shower steamer just for Mum from Alilluxury or The Path of Beauty.
Hand-packing every box is one of my joys – every item is chosen with care and intention. I love selecting pieces that feel both beautiful and useful, knowing they will be part of someone’s first days with their newborn. I love adding a sprig of lavender either tucked inside the box or tied on the outside, and misting the tissue paper inside with essential oil so that opening the box feels like a moment of calm and joy.
I strongly believe it takes a village to raise a child and every word of encouragement and act of kindness can make a world of difference. I sincerely hope my gift boxes bring joy to new parents – a smile in the early days, and some guidance as they navigate those early weeks with their newborn baby.
