The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
I feel as though we are constantly faced with little challenges that test us and our abilities to adjust to life’s hurdles. I cannot think of a particular challenge off the top of my head, but I would love to believe that I am one that takes a challenge head on, to overcome it so that there is minimal stress to my family, and my clients. I am often questioned on my age, and whether I am telling a white lie about it. I do feel as though life has thrown a lot in my direction through the last 10 years especially, but it has shaped who I am now and how I lead Neuro Touch. I have the empathy and compassion to understand a day in your shoes. I have the passion to give you back the motivation and control you could be searching for, as hurdles are thrown your way too. Challenges are forever coming, but all we can do is ensure we are feeling our best and have the best around us to dodge, smash or jump over them!
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The con is that you never rest! There is always something new on the horizon or another financial burden coming in. To say the last three years haven’t been hard would be a lie. But I am still here, Neuro Touch is here, and I have the sweetest boys as my cheerleaders. Another con is that you can’t always just stop if you want to. If you do, then the business may not be there. But the pros make it all worth it. I can work around my young family, I am able to learn new tools for clients easier than most, and I can control my workload. Well to a point! I enjoy being my own boss, and I enjoy being able to grow and learn from lessons that occur. And I absolutely love being able to help other people overcome health issues, learn new tools and give them the support to heal themselves and their families! Whatever that may look like.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Next? I haven’t found that next move yet, but I am sure that I will soon! For now, I want to support my client base, support the five practitioners that I have trained and work alongside me, and be there for my family. Having lost my dad, I believe that I understand the importance of what life has to offer and prioritise certain aspects within our life. I want to be able to live life with joy, for my business to continue to be a part of my lifestyle and not viewed as “work”. Neuro Touch fits into others’ lifestyles as it does for us practitioners. Next? I want to help others as much as I can help myself and continue to keep striving to be the best mum, best daughter, best sister, and soon-to-be wife that I can! My family is everything to me, as is my Neuro Touch family. When you work with one of us, you are stepping into our life as much as we may be stepping into yours.
