Supporting Birthing Mothers & Their Families Towards Healing & Happiness

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Because I work almost exclusively online, I can work from home. That means I can better juggle the needs of my family and my business. It is not easy though; I am often up late doing things for my business or my family. But the attitude I live life from now is so calm and peaceful that feeling overwhelmed is not something I need to manage.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

Moving from working full time in someone else’s business to stepping out into my own has been a leap of faith. Thankfully I have been very well supported by my employer and family. It helps when you feel like you have found your calling, that thing that makes you light up and sparkle.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The pros are setting your own times. I can schedule clients at times that suit us both, leaving me with time to invest in my family and my home.

The cons are that if you’re not careful, it can be all consuming.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I would like Fantastic Futures to be a hub of practitioners that specialise in maternity-related trauma, parenting preparation and education. I want to go global so that clients can choose their practitioner from one list, and that everyone knows where to come to get help for all manner of areas of maternity stress or trauma that is effective, client centred and long-lasting.

Visit the Fantastic Futures website to find out more, and join their communities on Facebook and Instagram.
