The Dream Coach: “Empowering Parents is My Superpower”

The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?

The biggest challenge I have overcome to date, is relocating back to New Zealand so my eldest children had access to tertiary education. This meant leaving a community and clients that I had established and starting over. Life has taken a different turn back in New Zealand, seeing me put on an old hat that I used to wear, however I continue to serve new and existing clients in Australia and across the globe.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Running your own business is not for the faint-hearted. It takes lots of determination and hard work. I often find myself working in stolen moments around my children and other commitments. Its 24/7 not 9-5 for the most part. It also takes a lot of self confidence. You have to back yourself 100% and get out of your own way.  The beauty of self employment is the flexibility it offers especially with a young family.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

What next for The Dream Coach? I obviously have huge dreams, but right now I am working on the Dream and Live aspects of my brand. I am updating the website and hope to offer some one-on-one and group workshop packages, both on and offline, with my ultimate goal to coordinate an annual soul nourishing retreat for mums. Stay tuned…
