The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Making content! Content is definitely one of the trickiest parts of running a business online – from the photos and videos to the social media posts. At the start, it was such a struggle to get around the platforms and all their features, but I think I’ve figured the most part out and I’m definitely improving.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Running my own business definitely has its ups and downs. The cons would be the inconsistent income, the late hours and behind the scenes that nobody sees, but the pros definitely outweigh them: the satisfaction and pride on completing the handmade items, making the customers happy and creating products that I know are loved by so many and are a rare find.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I don’t plan on creating a mega company or making hundreds of sales or getting crazy busy. I enjoy the small, tightknit, little community of customers I’m building. Sure, I’d love to reach out to more lovely people with my beautiful products, but I have no mega plans of change.
