Transform Your Self-Connection & Empower Your Journey of Motherhood

The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?

There have been many challenges along the way, both personally and professionally. My journey has been shaped by childhood trauma, complex PTSD, autoimmune illness and the reality of raising two young children on my own. There were years where I was navigating deep emotional pain while also trying to be present, loving and steady for my children. It was an overwhelming season that required strength I didn’t always feel I had.

Financially and emotionally, the early years were incredibly difficult. As a solo mother, I had to build my life from the ground up – studying at night, working in the small hours, and healing myself in whatever quiet moments I could find. There were times when support felt inaccessible, and I had to learn how to hold myself through experiences that felt too heavy to carry.

Launching and growing my business came with its own set of challenges. There were moments of doubt, exhaustion and uncertainty, especially as I began offering work that was so deeply connected to my own story. It required courage to step into this space, to share my truth, and to hold others through their own healing while still navigating pieces of mine.

But every challenge has shaped me in a meaningful way. Each obstacle strengthened my compassion, deepened my understanding, and reminded me why this work matters so much. My lived experience is the heart of The Motherlove Method™ – it allows me to hold space with empathy, authenticity, and a level of understanding that only comes from walking the path yourself.

While the road hasn’t been easy, it has been profoundly transformative. Every challenge became part of my purpose, guiding me toward the work I now offer and the women I feel honoured to support.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Running my own business has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey, but it has also come with its own challenges, especially as a solo mother building something from the ground up.

The greatest gift has been the freedom to create a life that aligns with my values and the way I want to raise my children. Having my own business allowed me to be present for school events, to work around my children’s needs and to build something meaningful without sacrificing my role as a mother. It also gave me a sense of identity and purpose outside of motherhood – something that was incredibly healing during times when I felt lost within my own story.

A profound part of this work is that it allows me to make sense of everything I’ve lived through. Offering this work – holding space for other mothers, helping them navigate their own emotional landscapes, witnessing their healing – brings purpose to experiences that were once painful and overwhelming. It turns my story into something supportive, meaningful and transformative for others, and in that way, it continues to heal me too.

The challenges, of course, are real. Running a business means wearing many hats – therapist, creator, administrator, marketer – and doing it all while navigating life, motherhood and my own wellbeing. There have been times of financial pressure, long nights and moments of doubt where the responsibility felt heavy. As someone who holds emotional depth for others, I’ve had to learn how to honour my capacity and make space for rest.

Yet even with the challenges, I wouldn’t change it. Every step – the highs, the lows, the growth, the rebuilding – has shaped both me and the heart of my work. It’s allowed me to create something purposeful, compassionate and deeply aligned with the woman and mother I am today.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

My deepest hope moving forward is to reach as many mothers as possible with this work. Creating The Motherlove Method™ as an online offering has opened the door for mothers everywhere to access the support, understanding and tools that I needed so desperately in my own journey, so that no woman has to walk this path alone, or piece it together the way I once did.

This is only the beginning. I envision The Motherlove Method™ expanding into a larger body of work, with a Part Two and additional offerings that continue to meet mothers exactly where they are, emotionally, energetically and in every season of their motherhood.

I would love to publish The Motherlove Method™ as a book one day, making it even more accessible and allowing the teachings, reflections and healing tools to reach women in a way that feels intimate and supportive. I also feel a growing call to eventually share more of my own childhood story, not for the sake of the story itself, but for the mothers who will see their own experiences reflected in it, and find hope in what is possible on the other side.

My dream is to continue creating work that honours both the mother and the woman within her – work that empowers her to heal, reconnect with herself and rewrite the patterns she never chose. I want The Motherlove Method™ to grow into a movement that offers mothers around the world the safety, the tools and the emotional support they deserve.

This is the vision that guides me: to help mothers reclaim themselves, break generational cycles and step into a more conscious, compassionate and connected way of living and mothering.
