I have some really exciting projects underway that will allow me to serve more women in more ways and also have a part of my business working autonomously so that when I’m in seasons of retreat, rest, reset, recreation, recalibration, and when times arise where I choose to prioritise motherhood, I can continue to always be of service and keep my business alive. Ultimately, my future children are always at the forefront of the choices I make when it comes to growing and running this business, as well as my clients: creating a routine and environment that allows me to have the capacity to show up for them both in the ways they deserve.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
For me, the biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome is the perception of time. Because the building of my business has come to me through intuitive downloads, I see the things I need to create and the action I need to take, and allow the messages of how to bring them about come to me through meditation. The challenge arises when these visions and knowings feel really close, because they’re coming from the energetic realm where time does not exist. When I begin to work on these projects, the reality that they may actually take much longer than I originally anticipated can be challenging.
I could potentially bring them into existence quicker, but I prefer to take my time and make sure they are of a high calibre and carrying the right energy before putting anything out for the public. Everything I create has an energetic component to it. It’s more than just getting the words or the aesthetic right; it’s about infusing everything from my Instagram posts, my guides and programs, to my card decks and books with a particular frequency that interacts with the audience. I’m always intentionally creating a particular energetic environment for everyone who engages with my work. I take that quite seriously so I make sure not to rush things, even when my ego wants things to happen right now.
By surrendering to the process of conceiving new ideas, nurturing their creation, and lovingly birthing them into the world, I’m actively practising what I preach to my clients when it comes to their fertility and births. It’s that authenticity and embodiment that helps create the frequency needed for me to best show up for my clients and create content and products that resonate with the right people. I’m not trying to be for everyone. I know that what I offer is for a certain market and I’m more than okay with that. I often feel so excited to meet the women I am destined to work with and again, there’s that challenge of time. It’s a constant process of coming back to trust and surrender, knowing they will arrive in the perfect moment.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The one con for me at the moment is the fact that I am only one person. I don’t have anyone to bounce ideas off of or delegate tasks to. My mum has been incredibly supportive, listening to me ramble on about my ideas and reading over things as I develop my projects. She doesn’t fully understand my business and has no experience with this kind of work at all, but I’m someone who processes things out loud, so having someone to just listen is a great help. I also have a friend who runs her own business who I can always turn to when I need help, but ultimately every aspect of my business is up to me. I’ve had to learn a lot. My services, what I give to my clients, that’s where I shine. I’m good at it; it comes naturally to me. But some other aspects of running a business, like understanding taxes for example, I’ve had to work a little harder at.
I also have so many ideas and can see the long-term vision for Motherbaby Consciousness, but again, I’m only one person. I can’t do everything all at once, and I’ve got nobody to delegate to right now, so time management and managing my expectations of myself are crucial. I’d love to have a team behind me in the future. Many hands make light work. For now though, where my business is at, it’s just me wearing all the hats.
Despite that, it really is mostly pros. I love working for myself. I love being able to set my working times to suit me. I love the process of creating things as they come to me. Generally, I love working for myself. Most of the time, it doesn’t even feel like work. It truly is a joy, and I’m so passionate about what I’m doing. It’s been three years since I received my first download about Motherbaby Consciousness, and at no point have I lost curiosity, drive, or passion. This really is what I’m supposed to be doing, and I’m so grateful that this is my life.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
As I’ve already mentioned, I’m working on some projects currently. I’ve got online guides and a program in development right now. The first one that will be launched very soon is Intuitive Eating For Fertility and Pregnancy. It’s completely different to other nutrition guides on the market because the focus is about coming back to self. It explores how our diet affects our vibration and frequency and that of our babies, it goes into uncovering our relationship with food and our bodies and ways to reprogram our subconscious mind around this, as well as our nervous system’s role in all of this. It’s ultimately a guide on how to listen to your body and your baby to know what is best for you to eat, instead of looking outside yourself for a diet plan. Everything I create is intended to put the power back to self. We are innately intelligent and I want all women to remember that fact. These projects excite me because this is where I can easily reach women from all over the world no matter their budget or availability. The more ways I can serve women in this space, the better. This will also create that autonomous aspect to my business to allow me to momentarily step back if I ever need or want to.
I’m also working on a unique affirmation card deck and book to help women who are on their fertility journey to manifest the conception of their spirit babies in a really practical and embodied way. I’m in the planning stages of two more card decks and books to accompany the one I’m almost finished now. One for pregnant mamas to manifest their desired birth and the other to help women through pregnancy loss. My dream is to see these products sold in bookstores around the world. These decks in particular have been a labour of love and a true passion project. I am incredibly proud of what I’m creating and I believe they are capable of seeing much commercial success. I want to bring this work to the mainstream and I believe this is one way I will achieve that.
Most importantly, my hopes and dreams for this work are to see an abundance of high vibrational babies born to high vibrational mothers. To see the shift in consciousness in this world. To witness the upgrade of Mother Earth’s frequency. To experience humanity’s return to our natural state of love after us living from fear for so long. I truly believe that there are magical things in store for the collective. This is a time of mass awakening. How blessed am I to be a part of ushering that in. That is what is at the root of everything I’m doing.
