The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Learning to run your own business and promote yourself has been a massive learning curve for me (and one I’m still learning), but it is a hugely interesting experience and is helping me grow as a person as well as growing my business. Studying naturopathy and herbal medicine while juggling raising four children was also a challenge! Luckily I love learning and am the type of person who will always be studying and absorbing new information and research so I can help my clients improve their health and wellbeing.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Pros: You get to set your own schedule and work from home.
Cons: You have to be responsible for all the management, research and if the work doesn’t get done, it’s only you to blame!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I would love to continue to grow my client base. I would love to help more new mamas with my Naturopathic Nurturing package, as this is my favourite aspect of my work. As for my clinic, I’m hoping to have the kind of atmosphere where my clients will regularly visit, stopping by for a cuppa and a consult, so we can talk about ways to improve their (and their family’s) health and wellbeing. I’d love for clients to enjoy and see how effective herbal medicine and products that have been formulated especially for each them and their unique needs can be.
