All Your Pregnancy, Birthing & Postpartum Needs in One Place

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Balancing work and family? I’m not sure I have achieved that yet, but I have found that there are a lot of women in my situation – bringing up babies whilst starting an online business. It isn’t easy for any of us, but it allows me to spend more time with my girls during their early years, and we all work together to build the business and support other women through their journeys.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

There is so much information to absorb if you are new to online retail, particularly from a technical and marketing perspective. I have had to learn and understand new terminology and processes, as well as build new skills to produce a site that is functional and also visible though digital marketing.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Creative freedom would have to be one of the most liberating aspects of running your own business. You can express yourself through your ideas or vision and show it to the world. On the flipside, you are always accountable to yourself and the business.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I have a vision of Birthmother being the one-stop shop for all pregnancy, birthing and postpartum needs. I will continue to focus on building the optimum range by continually working to source the most effective and safest products for women. I will continue to play my part in the support, education and empowerment of women through their birthing journey.

Head to the Birthmother website to find out more and join their communities on Facebook and Instagram.
