The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
I have been a GP for 15 years but have always worked for someone else. Starting a new practice from scratch has been a big challenge, but I have learnt a lot along the way.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are the autonomy it gives me, having a beautiful space that I created, and specialising in my areas of interest within medicine.
As for cons, it can be stressful and busy, as I am not only the doctor, but the business owner too.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I would love my practice to grow and get busier to the point where I can employ more doctors that share the same passion as me.
