Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
This is the hard part… I do spend too much time on my phone or computer. When I leave the house with the kids, I leave all that at home and it is a good feeling (for everyone). Unless I am on call for a birth of course!
I guess my business exists because of them as well and they are so curious about it. My son always asks me about babies, or if “the photos were good”. But in terms of finding the right balance, I am still looking for it.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Being confident about my creativity was very hard at the beginning and it still is. Now it is expressing myself about my work and putting it into words (especially in English, as I am French).
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The excitement about any project is definitely the best, and meeting new parents is a real joy. But having that in your mind day and night is draining, like when I have ideas that come into my head at 3 am and there is no way I can get back to sleep afterwards! So work is always there, good or bad (and I love it!).
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Being able to work in my country in France – that would be splendid! So when I go on holiday I can still work and meet more beautiful mums… you see I am obsessed with it!
