The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Financial challenges, time with family and a lot of doubt. But I always remind myself of a quote from a person I used to hate. He once said to me: “You are a such quitter!” After that I just don’t give up, keep trying and keep going.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The best thing about running my own business is to have the freedom to do something I am passionate about. I really like turning my innovative ideas into a finished product and now I can.
The worst part of running my own business is the pressure and the responsibility. For every new staff member I hire, I feel really responsible for their families too. I can’t just give up on them and there is no going back.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
The idea behind the Terra brand is to create a “pure+organic+natural” brand which applies to a lot of consumer products, products people can trust and feel safe to use. It also means that for every product I develop and every time people use them there is less of an impact on our environment.
