Early Intervention is Paramount but Therapy Wait Lists are Long

Two important activities focus on a range of emotions, which are excellent for working on social-emotional skills, helping children to learn a range of emotions, how to ‘act out’ emotions and talk about their feelings, thus helping to build emotionally intelligent individuals. Learning about the alphabet, letter sounds and writing skills is also made fun with the range of illustrated activities. Children can enjoy practising their turn taking when playing with their peers, siblings, parents or therapists.

Mariah from Sound Adventures Speech Pathology has been using this resource with her own children and clients. This is what she had to say:

“I love the Busy Books as a Mum of toddlers and as a Speech Pathologist for a few reasons – it has images that are bright and simple for little learners to recognise, it makes matching colours, counting, letters sounds and early writing fun. It’s also adaptable for whatever goals you are targeting – can be used for turn taking, requesting and other areas of receptive and expressive language development. It’s also compact and easy to take away with you to cafes, during travel or out and about. A sturdy, quality book developed by a Mum with love – I highly recommend it as a screen free alternative at home and as an educational tool.”
