The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Running Little Ripper Apparel has been an ongoing learning experience with its fair share of challenges. We’re riding this business wave as it comes, constantly facing new obstacles. From communication barriers with manufacturers to product storage and design issues, every step has presented its own hurdles. But through it all, I’m proud that we’ve never given up. We’ve pushed through each challenge, learning and growing stronger as a business.
For Better or Worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
There are many pros to running our own business: the immense pride in knowing we’ve created something special from the ground up; the flexibility of working my own hours, which allows me to balance work and family life; and the sheer excitement of seeing babies across Australia wearing something we’ve designed-it’s incredibly rewarding!
In terms of cons, there is the constant stress of making decisions, which can be daunting as you want everything to be perfect, and the overwhelming amount of paperwork! We can’t wait to get an office so we can finally reclaim our dining table!
Hopes and Dreams: What’s next?
We’re focused on growth-continuing to expand Little Ripper Apparel. We’re adding more sun-safe clothing to our range and working to get our products into more retailers. My dream is to one day have a dedicated storage shed and office space, so we can finally reclaim our home!
