Five Things to Consider When You Pivot your In-Person Business to Online

3. A small, engaged following is more powerful than a big following that’s not within your niche

Once you know who you niche is, you need to hang out where they are. For example, if you have an online course about baking, join a few baking groups or forums on Facebook. Find your tribe online and then market your offering or service to them. This is much easier if you already know what your niche offering is.

4. People feel more comfortable in their own homes

…especially new parents who might still be getting used to life with a baby. Things like pre-natal yoga, baby parenting classes or anything targeted to a breastfeeding new mumma will all be gratefully received if offered as a home study option.

After all, don’t you feel more at ease in your living room wearing your pyjamas than you do in a community hall or hospital surrounded by strangers?

5. Be inspired by others (but don’t copy)

Check out what other people and businesses in your industry are doing and be inspired by them. Whether it’s an email marketing campaign, a Facebook ad or a free offering – the beauty of the internet is its transparency. Have a look at what the competition is up to and then find your own unique way to shine.
