The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The biggest challenge we have had to overcome was running the business remotely. I was staying with my family in remote Queensland where internet reception is poor (to say the least!) and all the stock was in South Australia with Luke. Working as a wonderful team, Luke was packing and sending orders while I was processing all other administration tasks. It is always important to work together and have an open mind, because really anything is possible.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pro of running my business is to be able to share the love and passion for eco-friendly baby products and cloth nappies. The con would be that work is away with you. But, I have learnt to put the phone down and enjoy special moments with my family. It is very important to ensure a work-life balance and enjoy life to the fullest.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Having dreams is always important; however, having achievable goals is more important. My short-term goal is to attend regular markets and hold regular pop-up shops in my local area. I am proud to say that this has just started to take place. My long-term goal is to have my very own product range (so watch this space!)
