“I have placed all of the sculptures in places where you normally wouldn’t go, but still in places which you can reach with public transportation or preferably on your bicycle,” he adds. “They are also spread at a distance range making it possible to visit them all in a day if you go by bicycle.”
These gorgeous giants were created with 600 pallets, an old shed, a fence, and anything else Thomas Dambo could find and reuse. He made them with the help of volunteers, and while some can easily be seen from a distance, others certainly require the use of the map and the poetic riddles left on the trail. Something for children and adults alike, these “Forgotten Giants” definitely tickle the imagination and would inspire many trips into the wilderness, we would think.
