Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
There have been so many challenges over the years. Like all small businesses, it is sometimes just a challenge to show up day after day. The business, regulatory and marketing environments are constantly changing, and when you are running a business yourself, you wear every hat and need to keep up on all fronts.
The biggest challenge is new players entering the market, with big advertising budgets but not necessarily better products! We need to constantly find ways to cut through the noise and always remember to believe in our incredible products and our amazing loyal customer base we have built over the years.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Pros: I love hearing every day about how our products have helped someone. This is truly rewarding and makes it all worthwhile. Of course, working from home is the best. Being here when my son gets home from school, and being able to structure work around family and other commitments is gold.
Cons: It can be stressful! Sometimes things work, others don’t, some months are good, some not so good, and all the decisions are yours – it can be a rollercoaster and not for the faint-hearted.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
Our main goal in the near future is deepening trust, widening reach and strengthening the foundation we have developed with our organic products through education and awareness.
This year we will also be focusing on our sustainability goals, including looking at our packaging and making sure that it aligns with our values, as well as reviewing our product range and complimentary products.
