The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
From juggling motherhood with business, to tech overwhelm, I’ve faced more than a few hurdles. But one of the hardest was losing all my social media and connections when my Facebook got hacked. I’d built a supportive community and had to start from scratch – while still home educating, running a household and raising four kids. I took a break to regroup, and only recently returned to social media with more clarity, courage and conviction. I also had to shut down my edible messy play business during lockdown, which was heartbreaking. But those challenges pushed me to evolve and now, I’m proud to be launching the only international qualification in baby weaning for professionals. Even better? My eldest daughter wants to follow in my footsteps and join me one day. That’s the real win.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The best part is helping parents not feel so alone – the freedom it gives me to work around my family, be creative and to do things my way. There’s nothing like knowing that your work is making a real difference in people’s lives.
The hardest part? It’s all on you. There’s no boss to tell you what to do next, and the learning curve can be huge – especially with social media, tech and confidence! But I wouldn’t swap it for the world. Even on the toughest days, I know I’m building something meaningful.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
This year is all about expansion with heart. I’m launching a new online community for parents that offers daily sensory-based activities, recipes and emotional support for every stage of the weaning journey. I’m also growing my professional course, Weaning for Professionals, which will soon become the only international qualification in baby weaning, so more practitioners can deliver the KIND method in their own communities. Longterm, I’d love to publish a book, speak on bigger stages and keep redefining what weaning support looks like – making it kinder, more inclusive and deeply connected. Because every parent deserves to feel confident, supported, calm and celebrated.
