Is there a piece you are most proud of? Why?
Generally speaking, I rarely reminisce about the old work. I forget it after painting, so every time I just finished my favorite work, I prefer the feeling of progress compared to a single painting.
What is your most important artist tool? Is there something you can’t live without in your studio?
I am not attached to the tools. I used to use computer painting. When I suddenly felt bored, I turned to hand painting, sometimes using ink, sometimes using watercolor or other tools.
In the exploration of different painting materials, you can always understand the texture of more paintings.

Is there an element of art you enjoy working with most? Why?
Painting is actually a process of meditation. Once you sit in front of the painting platform, the drawing boards and tools are in a comfortable position, you can empty and keep painting. This is the place where painting can best attract me.
What’s something you’d like to try next?
I used to be a cartoonist, but at least I haven’t painted cartoons for five or six years. I recently regained my mood and intend to create more comics.
