The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
For me, the biggest challenge is myself and the limitations I put in place. The self-doubt, comparing to others and feeling like I have no idea what I’m doing. I have been doing a lot of inner work and changing my mindset and perspective around business and my capabilities within running my business. There are so many small challenges I accomplish like putting myself out there, sharing my products with the world and the worry about whether others will like them!
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
There is so much to learn with running a business and so many factors to consider! The pro for me is being able to unleash my creative side and share this with the world – to be able to put my ideas into practice and do things as I want, when I want and how I want.
Being able to earn a little extra cash doing something I enjoy is definitely a bonus, as well as showing my daughter from a young age that you can do anything you set your mind to!
The cons would be the time and effort required for the business to enable it to be successful and the uncertainty around if it will work. There are also so many outside factors that can influence what you do! Business is something that is constantly changing and there is always something new to learn!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
In the very near future, there are some things I want to upskill on to enable me to run the business more smoothly and reach as many people as possible.
As for what we offer, I have so many ideas on ways I want to expand the business, including more products, a reiki infused range and the possibility of adding services to things that are offered. I am already exploring the idea of additional products that can be added to what is currently available as well as transitioning to more eco-friendly packing.
I am also a qualified reiki practitioner and have experience with tarot and oracle cards, so incorporating this into the business is definitely something I want to look at doing. Learning additional healing modalities will also be on the cards in the future.
