Adriana Nykyforuk is the founder of AdriArt Ltd., inspired by her journey into motherhood and lifelong passion for art. After struggling to find natural, high-quality and affordable art supplies in the UK for her children, Adriana turned to trusted products from her home country of Ukraine. Realising the need for safe and inspiring materials for young artists, she launched AdriArt Ltd. to make these vibrant, reliable art supplies accessible to parents, teachers and children across the UK, with a goal to nurture creativity and support young minds in their artistic exploration. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind her business, her biggest breakthrough, the pros and cons of business ownership, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
As a mother and a creative, I’ve always valued high-quality, safe art materials for children. When I struggled to find products that met these standards in the UK, I began sourcing them from Ukraine. This journey inspired me to create AdriArt Ltd. – a brand dedicated to providing vibrant, safe and high-quality art supplies to children, parents and educators. My goal was to encourage creativity and support young minds in their artistic exploration.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
AdriArt Ltd. began as a dream fuelled by my personal experiences and the desire to share the products I trusted for my own children. Starting small, I reached out to suppliers and tested products extensively to ensure they met my standards for safety and quality. From setting up my website on Wix to gradually introducing the brand on social media, I’ve built the business step by step with a lot of heart and determination.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
The biggest breakthrough was finding the perfect balance between quality and affordability. When I realised I could source vibrant, safe and natural art materials from Europe (particularly Ukraine) and make them accessible to families in the UK, it all came together. It has been incredibly rewarding to receive feedback from parents and educators about how much they love the products.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
Balancing work and family is a constant dance, but it’s a priority for me. I involve my children in testing new products and creative projects, which makes work feel like a shared adventure. I also set boundaries – dedicating specific times to work and family – to ensure I’m present in both areas. It’s not always perfect, but it’s worth it.
