Nurturing Your Journey: Expert Baby Care Support

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

One of the main challenges is how to let people know about your services and having the time to make content, edit the content and put it out there. Also, knowing what kind of content best resonates, but also how to reach the families who *gasp* aren’t on socials, and thinking of new ways to reach more clients to provide the support they need and deserve. I’m finding that word of mouth is one of the most effective avenues. If you make an impact on a client, good or bad, they will tell people about it.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

A big pro is that you are your own boss. This can be great for work/life balance, as it gives you the most flexibility to do the things that are most important, like the first day at nursery/school, assemblies, etc.

You make the decisions about where the company is going, what the ethos is and any improvements, etc.

It’s so rewarding when you see the development, success and impact of the company that you built and it’s something that you can pass on to your children – generational wealth.

As for cons, you are your own boss lol. If business is slow, then you have to invest your personal finances into the company. You also can’t shut down the business when you are on holiday, so it’s difficult to fully switch off when away.

Sometimes the work/life balance has to be sacrificed for a while, as it’s not easy building a business and a brand from scratch.

If things go wrong, there really isn’t anyone to share the blame with.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I would love to collaborate with other influencers in the field of maternal/postnatal/postpartum health and to give more talks and blogs. There are plans in the pipeline to participate in international maternal health events in 2026. I want to support even more families and become a part of their village, empowering them, rebuilding that confidence they have lost, and ensuring that their infant feeding and parenting journeys are both enjoyable and successful as defined by them. All whilst protecting their mental health and relationship in the process.

I would love to deliver more parent-to-be classes to equip the families before they deliver, so that their breastfeeding journey gets off to a flying start from the get go. This would also reduce the amount of damage control that makes up the majority of my work.
