Stay Healthy, Recover Faster: Pre and Postnatal Support with Yum Mum Fitness

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Well I have to say that it can be very hard sometimes. My problem is that I’m a perfectionist, also, I enjoy challenges in my life. I am aiming to be a perfect mum, partner, housewife, friend, teacher, leader, etc… So even when there is no reason for stress, I will make it for myself. But at the end of the day, I’m happy that I’m like that because that is pushing me to be better and to achieve more. I just need every now and then a little break to recharge my batteries and I’m ready for more.

So how do I balance it? It’s still a work in progress!

The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?

Well just working in an English-speaking country using modern technology is a big challenge for me. As I said before, I love an active lifestyle and I’m a full of energy-type person. Now working online, I need to spend a lot of time sitting in front of the laptop. There is a lot of work and effort put into just one meal and workout plan. I’m treating each of my clients as individuals and all my plans for them are personalised depending on their status and their goals. But a happy client with good results gives me that extra boost, so for me there is nothing that I can’t do, or at least try.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

I would say working for yourself is a 24/7 job. My brain is always switched on – how to improve my business and what to do to make my clients happier. The good thing is that at the end I can still decide not to work if my family needs me, I can work from home, on my holiday, just be my own boss. And if you love your job the way I do, you don’t think too much about pros and cons; you are living it.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

Make connections with more people all around the world.

Improve my product, offering more support for mums by creating a variety of fitness programs for them to choose from and provide different cuisines to spice up the meal plans.

I’m hoping as well to build my members area to a level that can support mums in need at their hardest time. A healthy lifestyle will contribute to a woman’s mental wellbeing which is crucial in this point of their life.
