This negativity, this comparison, judgement, was getting me down. It made me feel less than, it made me question my choices, how I parent. But, I realised I had a choice – keep hanging out in these toxic corners of the web, or, choose somewhere more positive to hang out.
I’m all about feeling good. Motherhood is hard enough, without constant judgements and comparisons from other mothers.
I stopped engaging with these toxic groups, I stopped reading articles, books, magazines that didn’t align with how I choose to parent.
I was mindful of my mental health and now ensure the information I consume is contributing positively to my mental wellbeing.
It’s time we drop the judgement, the comparison. It’s time we supported each other in this journey of motherhood and accept we are all different – mother and baby.
