The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Setting up a business whilst working full time meant sometimes you had to carve out time at the end of a very long and stressful day to run the business, even when you were really tired or heavily pregnant! So reminding yourself why you are doing this and remembering the positive feedback really keeps you going.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Putting your own designs out there into the world can be both terrifying and rewarding. You put your heart and soul into these projects and just hope that the world loves them as much as we do.
The most rewarding part of running your own business is definitely feeling the support and appreciation for the products you have put out to market. We had one new mum email to us to say, “After weeks of minimal sleep, seeing your gorgeous wraps brought a smile to my face.”
The cons are definitely the time and effort it takes to build a business and learn areas that you aren’t experienced in like finance and accounting. All worth it for the end result.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We have been able to share our products with Australia and New Zealand; ultimately we want to share these with the world and make mums all over the globe smile. The new phase will be our new collection of designs as well as innovating our product range.
