Here, Kerry talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind her business.

The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?

I have always had a deep love of Christmas; it was always such a magical time when I was a child and I remember staring at my Grandmother’s Christmas tree when I was young for what seemed like hours. Over Christmas time 2020, I was talking with family about my “dream job” and how much I would love to have a store that was half party supplies and half Christmas all year round. I was home on maternity leave, my mum and my husband were very supportive, and we came up with the idea of starting a store online to begin with.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?

We launched our website in February 2021. Our children love to help with packing orders and pricing or labelling stock. It truly is a family owned and operated business.

The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

We were so excited when we found some other small businesses that we could work with, both selling their products and for them to create some exclusive product ideas that we had.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Balancing work and family is a challenge that I think most people face when they work from home, but we have set some boundaries that are non-negotiable for us, such as “family time” at a certain time every day and leaving our phones at home or in the car when we head out with our children.
