The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
As a busy mum of four daughters with a husband that often works away from home, the biggest challenge for me is finding enough hours in the day to do everything.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The biggest pro for us is that we can work our own hours around our kids and whatever they need. Sports day? No problem, I can be there! Sick child? That’s ok, I can get some work done at home while she is napping.
The biggest con for me has been trying to find the right balance between work and family time. My office and stock room are in the house with us so it can be very tempting to just quickly check emails or do some planning at night and get lost in there for too long.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Our next plan is to upsize our storage availability and therefore grow our stock range. Then in approximately 3 years, we would like to open our storefront.
