The Bank of ‘Me’

They could include: 

  • exercise (great for mental well-being and managing your stress responses); 
  • reading; 
  • making art or craft; 
  • having a lie-down; 
  • working on a project you’ve been wanting to do for ages; 
  • breathing techniques or meditation; or 
  • having an uninterrupted bath or shower. 

I find being completely on my own, outside, is the most productive thing for me, personally. It doesn’t have to be very long, but 15 minutes of walking, being at the beach, gardening or just pottering around a green space looking at flowers or veggies is something I need to do every day. And yes, I mean, need.  

So why not give it a go? Set yourself a time frame (maybe a week or a month) and consistently do things every day to build up credit in ‘The Bank of Me’.
