Let’s face it, parenting is a tough gig, even tougher without the support of a village, which inspired Carli Pamplin to develop The Dream Coach. At The Dream Coach, Carli provides personal coaching to build on your existing knowledge, encourage you to follow your intuition and feel empowered by your instincts, leaving you enjoying, trusting and feeling calm, confident and in control as a parent. We spoke to Carli to learn more about how she got started.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
I’ve always been passionate about family, it’s my number one value.
While living in a remote town in Western Australia, where many parents lack extended family support, I identified a gap in the market for parenting support. This community need inspired me to create The Dream Coach brand.
The Launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I started out undertaking training in the science of sleep. With a background in facilitating parent education courses and having worked in family law, this was a great fit and additional service I could offer clients.
I worked closely online with a business mentor and set out designing my brand, website and launching a Facebook page, with the help of the experts.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
The biggest breakthrough for me in business was realising the number of families with similar needs and identifying how I could serve a greater number of people. Introducing online packages has been a game changer, and to this day I still have clients all over the world, from Sweden to Russia and across Australia. My online packages are the most popular option.
As a working mum of four, I am equally as passionate about inspiring and empowering mothers to manage the motherload and reclaim their dreams, as I am about family.
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
The reality for all working parents is the same. One is expected to work as if one does not have children, while raising one’s children as if one did not have a job. As a working mum of four, I am equally as passionate about inspiring and empowering mothers to manage the motherload and reclaim their dreams, as I am about family. Much of my work involves coaching and mentoring mums with natural solutions to thrive not just survive.
