The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
One of the hardest things has been how isolating it can feel. When you work in a job, you’ve got a team around you – people to bounce ideas off and help you troubleshoot. In business, you’re often figuring it all out on your own. It can be hard to know what to prioritise or how to solve problems. I’ve been working on this by connecting with other women in business, and building a network. That support has been invaluable.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are that you have control over your time and your direction. You can build something that really aligns with your values. And nothing beats the feeling of seeing your products being worn and loved by real customers.
As for cons, it can be confronting putting yourself out there all the time, especially when you’re the face of your brand. I have to take a deep breath every time!

Hopes and dreams: What next?
My hope is to grow Saturday Vibes and get our pieces into the hands of more mums. I want to offer more choice, more colour, and more joy when it comes to maternity and breastfeeding fashion. My big dream is to help more women feel empowered and confident, and more like themselves again – and to build a brand that genuinely makes a difference in their everyday lives.
