What began as a beautifully wrapped gift exchanged between friends has grown into a joyful movement towards conscious gifting. When Casper’s son received a fabric-wrapped present that had already passed through several hands, she was struck not only by its charm but by the story it carried. That moment sparked a conversation with Sonny – who had long been dreaming of a world free from wasteful, single-use wrapping paper – and together, they founded Wrap Happy Co. Their mission is simple yet profound: to create beautiful, ethical, and endlessly reusable fabric wraps that make gifting more sustainable, meaningful and joyful – turning everyday gifting into an act of love for the planet. Here they talk to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind their business, the challenges they have overcome, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
It all started with a simple gift, one that had been wrapped with care and was carrying a story. Casper’s son received it and was instantly taken by the charm of the beautiful fabric wrap.
It turned out the wrap had been passed on from a friend of Sonny’s, making its way through a few hands before reaching Casper. She loved it so much that she asked Sonny where she could buy more. Sonny’s answer?
“You can’t. Not yet. But if you want more, we can make it happen”.
Sonny had been carrying this idea for years.
“Every Christmas, I’d see mountains of wrapping paper, bin bags full of it, and think that there has to be a better way”. She imagined a world where beautiful, reusable alternatives became the norm.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
It wasn’t long before Casper and Sonny joined forces, blending their love for sustainability with their dedication to make a real impact. It took a year of research and development to create a product that wasn’t just beautiful, but ethical, sustainable and truly circular.
“We wanted to tick every box, and make sure the wraps weren’t just an alternative but the better choice,” explained Casper.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
We wanted to provide a full reusable gift wrapping kit – one that included all the fixings, bells, bows, elastics, ribbons – without. the need for sticky tape. We ended up with some beautiful clasps to secure the fabric, meaning everything in our kits is reusable for years to come.
Now, in our second year, our mission is growing.
“We’re bringing education into schools, spreading awareness and encouraging more people to embrace our wraps”.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
One of the driving reasons for starting a business was to work when we wanted and be available for school holidays, drop offs and pick ups. Being a present parent is a priority for both of us. Sometimes it means our work takes a bit longer, but we are really clear on our values and keep good boundaries safeguarding our precious time with our children.
