The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
At the moment, I’m trying to overcome a massive dip in sales. I’m working through redesigning my standard boxes and adding in a couple of new ones to meet the market need.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are the satisfaction of supporting my passion and the possibility to grow it into something fantastic.
In terms of cons, there is a lot of very hard work required to initially set it up, along with the late nights and the massive self-doubt that I’ve done the right thing!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My ultimate dream is for this business to take off so that I can make it my primary work focus. The more success I have, the more support there is for Australian handmade, which is what I strive for! For the moment though, I’ll settle for consistent sales and being able to turn a profit.
