Empowering Parents with the Knowledge & Skills to Help Babies Sleep Better

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

There is a real stigma around sleep training and it’s often perceived to entail leaving your baby to ‘cry it out’. It’s a misconception that really affected me initially, because it was a misrepresentation of what I actually do. My methods in getting babies to sleep better are truly responsive with a holistic approach. They encompass sleep environment, settling, routine, nutrition, health and growth at the very minimum. Often, setting up a healthy sleep foundation is enough to encourage better sleep in the infant. Educating families about the importance of good quality sleep in childhood, and seeing their lives transform as a result of my care given, surpasses any of the negative assumptions.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

I love being able to help others from the comfort of home. I can support and nurture both my children and my clients’ children! Caring for people, to me, is second nature; it’s in my blood. I’m still learning about the business realm and appreciating the ways the two can go hand in hand.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I am working behind the scenes on creating something special for expectant and newborn parents. That’s all I can say for now! Keep an eye out by following The Sleep Tree on Instagram and Facebook!
