The Uincourage mission is simple: to encourage women from all around New Zealand to find courage and follow their dreams. For Natasha Davies, it started out as an idea that she put to a friend, and she then went on to create a space of support and encouragement for whatever lies ahead: women empowering women to be courageous, to achieve what they set out to do and to reach for the stars. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind Uincourage, the pros and cons of running your own business, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
To be honest with you, feeling stuck in discouragement and alone in fear was what encouraged me to create my business.
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I started out by being brave and casting a new idea to some amazing wāhine that I know, and it all flowed from there.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
My biggest breakthrough was probably putting the first video out on social media – I was absolutely terrified, but it was the start of my all in!
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I try to stay intentional and lay everything out on the table. I try to keep things simple and realistic for all parties involved and have a lot of communication.
