Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
A happy family always comes first. I have three young boys, oldest 9, youngest 4. We have a basic routine we stick to and my husband and I share house chores and caring for the kids. I work from home mostly so that helps a lot, so when they need me I can just stop and help.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
There have not been many challenges, except the challenge to completely trust and not question the process. All types of messages can come through so I have to learn to trust them, whether it’s a fish, a feather, a symbol, a pregnant mermaid…they seem far fetched at the time, but I just go with it and the relevance soon becomes clear, especially when it resonates with the person.
For example, I drew an African symbol recently for someone, and it turned out she was planning her 60th birthday and it was an African themed party!
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are that I am doing something I love and I can do things at my own pace. The cons are things like paying too much for a course to learn how to build my business and the challenge at this stage of growing the business enough so I meet my target goals.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My short-term personal goals are to continue having a good family and work balance, co-tutor a course that a co-worker and I are developing and be financially self sufficient. Longer term, my goal is to publish a book on the chakra system, travel and get a tattoo…lol.
