Mesay: Safely Nurturing Your Body & Soul

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

There’s vulnerability in sharing something you’ve poured so much of your heart into. Especially in a space that can feel loud and competitive. I’ve had my fair share of self-doubt, wondering if I was doing enough or if what I was offering would be seen or understood.

But the biggest challenges have been personal. Our family experienced the loss of our second child late in pregnancy, all while caring for our toddler and keeping the business going. Holding space for grief alongside the everyday demands of motherhood and work was difficult, but it taught me a lot about resilience and compassion, for myself and others.

That journey has deeply influenced how I approach Mesay: with patience, honesty and a commitment to creating products that feel like a moment of kindness and calm in the chaos.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The best part is the freedom. I can shape my days around my family and what feels aligned. Technically, my schedule tomorrow could be completely clear. There’s nothing I have to do… but about a million things I probably should do. That’s the flip side – the mental load never really switches off. You’re holding everything all the time, and it can be hard to know when to stop.

It’s a mix of freedom and chaos, but it’s mine, and I’m grateful for that.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

For me, the vision for Mesay has always gone beyond skincare. The next step is expanding into a full holistic health and wellness brand: a trusted space for thoughtfully curated essentials that support everyday wellbeing.

There’s so much noise out there when it comes to wellness products, it can take hours of research just to choose one thing. My goal is to take that overwhelm away. I want Mesay to be a place where people know they’re getting something real, because I’ve personally vetted every product, not just as a founder, but as a consumer who genuinely wants these things in my own life. From electrolytes and natural protein powders to organic clothing, hair care, water filters and red light therapy, it’s all part of building a brand that reflects not just what I believe in, but what I actually use and love.
