Nurturing Mothers & Families Through Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

My biggest challenge was my own postpartum journey. While I was in the middle of my naturopathy studies, I experienced firsthand just how overwhelming those first few weeks and months can be. I felt the hormonal shifts, the exhaustion, a long physical recovery and the emotional burden that so many mamas carry alone. That personal struggle was my biggest breakthrough and ultimately, the driving force behind my business.

I knew there had to be a better way for mothers to feel supported during this incredible but vulnerable time. So, the challenge wasn’t just about launching a business; it was about creating a service that could fill that gap. My own experience was my fuel. It gave me the empathy to truly understand my clients and the passion to build a practice dedicated to making their postpartum recovery a positive and beautiful experience. Afterall, this chapter is one of the most transformative and memorable of our lives.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The biggest pro is the opportunity to help families through some of the most exciting moments of their lives. There is no better feeling than when a client comes back to me, not just feeling better, but truly rediscovering herself. The other pro is the flexibility. I have the freedom to work around my family’s schedule. I can take a day off for family plans or dedicate an afternoon to catch up on admin work, and that balance is priceless. My hope is that my social media reflects that – a real, honest mama reaching out, not a perfectly curated aesthetic. I want my clients to know that behind every perfect baby picture is a long and beautiful journey of healing and finding herself.

Cons include all the backend admin that comes with running your own business. Who knew there was so much involved in linking software, accounting and advertising? This should have been a subject of its own! I wear many hats in a single day, and some days can be very challenging. Social media is a love-hate relationship. It takes up a large amount of time to create a meaningful connection in our busy world. Ultimately though, it is seeing my clients progress that keeps me inspired and reminds me it’s all worth it.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

My hope is to continue growing alongside the families I see. That’s why I’m so excited to be diving into further studies in paediatric health very soon, so I can expand my focus to include “mum and bub” consults. My dream is to become a family’s one-stop health destination, where I can support them through all the incredible ups and downs of life. I have already had the opportunity of working with men in their health challenges and love the dedication I have seen them put in. So, whether you’re a mama, dada or just need some support, I am here to listen and help.

I’m also passionate about creating and hosting workshops to share moments of connection and support in postpartum health. Think herbal tea and cosy chats. It’s about being a supportive guide every step of the way. My hope is to create a clinic space where a cuppa and comfy couch feels like a chat with a knowledgeable friend in her home, instead of a clinical room.
