Supportive, Mindful Cleaning Services for New and Expectant Mums

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

Chronic pain and burnout were major roadblocks in the past. That’s why I’ve shaped Nest & Nurture to work with me, not against me. It’s also been a learning curve to price my services in a way that honours my time and energy while still feeling accessible to mums who need this kind of support most.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The pro: deep creative freedom. The con: Imposter syndrome on steroids. It’s easy to second guess every post, and starting something all over again can be a bit daunting. There’s a lot of upfront planning and self-motivation, especially when you haven’t started booking clients yet. But I must remind myself that I’m building this slowly and intentionally so it can be sustainable, not stressful.

Hopes and dreams: What’s next?

I’d love to partner with more local makers – like doulas, and crafters – to curate gift boxes filled with heart-made items, vouchers and resources for mental and physical health services. I’m also dreaming up a blog of rituals and gentle preparation ideas for new mums. Potential partnerships with some bigger baby brands and hopefully down the track being able to create a team of like-minded cleaners to join me so I can expand further across Queensland, not just North Brisbane. Slowly but surely, this little idea is growing.
