The World’s First Baby Monitoring Sleeping Bag!

SmartSnugg

SmartSnugg is a well-designed system of alerts and notifications that ensures you can sleep more easily knowing that you’ll be woken if there’s a problem.

DID YOU KNOW THE TEMPERATURE WITHIN YOUR CHILD’S SLEEPING BAG CAN AFFECT THEIR SLEEP QUALITY AND SAFETY?

We all know how important it is to have the right environment to get a good night’s sleep and of course it is just the same for babies. If they’re too hot or too cold, they’re not going to sleep well, but how do you know? Experts warn about the dangers of overheating your child, but do you know what the temperature is inside the sleeping bag or even what temperature you are trying to achieve?

The SmartSnugg baby sleeping system helps you to understand and control your child’s sleeping temperature. But what is the ‘right’ temperature for your child to be inside the sleeping bag? SmartSnugg’s product testing has shown that babies typically sleep between 29-35 degrees (internal sleeping bag temperature). Of course, that varies throughout the night as both the ambient room temperature and your baby’s body temperature change.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THEIR TEMPERATURE?

Until now, the only way has been to go in and touch your child’s skin, which isn’t ideal if they are sleeping quietly! With SmartSnugg, you get real-time data about the temperature inside your child’s SmartSleeper (sleeping bag), through the SmartSnugg App.

Even when you are fast asleep, you’ll know that SmartSnugg is monitoring your child’s comfort, as you can set up notifications to alert you if there is a problem. The information is gathered by a ‘SmartPebble’ (monitor) that sits discreetly inside a secure internal pocket.

FEVER ALERTS

These alerts detect rapid and unexpected changes in the temperature inside the sleeping bag. The SmartSnugg algorithms look at the difference between the room temperature and the temperature inside the SmartSleeper (the differential). The differential will vary during the night as part of the ordinary sleep cycle, as your child’s body changes temperature. However, if there is an unusually significant change, you will receive an alert if you have this feature activated. This is not exactly a fever monitor, because the SmartSnugg is not monitoring your baby’s skin temperature, but many of the product testers have found this feature helpful in early detection of their child having a temperature.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE INFORMATION?

What most parents really want to know is how to keep their child at a comfortable temperature throughout their sleep and here are two ways you can do that with SmartSnugg baby sleeping system:

1. Clothing Recommendation Assistant

The system starts with the expected room temperature and helps you to select clothing that will ensure your child is sleeping in their preferred temperature range. This is possible because SmartSnugg has information about average sleeping bag temperatures inside the SmartSleepers, and extensive testing has been conducted, adding and removing different layers to understand the impact that each layer has on the temperature within a SmartSleeper.
