The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust my instincts in a world that constantly pushes for more – more products, more noise, more urgency. It took time to become confident in choosing a slower, more intentional path, especially when that doesn’t always align with traditional ideas of growth.
I’ve also had to navigate the realities of building a business alongside family life, learning as I go and adjusting expectations. Overcoming those challenges has reinforced the importance of staying true to my values and building something sustainable, both personally and professionally.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
One of the biggest positives of running my own business is the flexibility and autonomy it brings. I’m able to shape my work around my values, make thoughtful decisions and create something that feels meaningful rather than rushed. There’s a deep sense of fulfilment in seeing an idea grow into something that genuinely supports families.
On the other hand, it also comes with responsibility and uncertainty. There’s no clear off switch and you often carry the weight of every decision yourself. But I’ve learned that with those challenges comes growth, not just in business, but personally, and for me, that trade off is worth it.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Looking ahead, my hope is to continue growing Frankie Raine in a way that feels intentional and sustainable. I want to deepen the focus on the newborn stage, refining the essentials rather than constantly expanding, and ensuring every piece continues to serve a real purpose for families.
Beyond growth, my dream is for Frankie Raine to remain a brand parents trust – one that supports a gentler start to parenthood and reminds families that simplicity is enough. If it can quietly become part of those early days for more parents, that feels like success to me.
