The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Starting a business later in life and stepping into a creative field took courage. Learning to trust myself, put my work out into the world and confidently value what I offer has been a journey.
There’s also the challenge of building something meaningful in a busy industry. I’ve overcome this by staying true to what matters most to me – connection, storytelling and creating a relaxed experience for families.
My background in paediatric nursing has given me patience, empathy and calmness, which has been invaluable in both my work and my business journey.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The greatest gift is purpose. I get to combine my love for children, families and storytelling into something that truly matters.
The challenge is managing all aspects of the business and the uncertainty that can come with it. But the flexibility, creativity and connection it brings far outweigh the challenges.
There’s nothing quite like delivering a gallery that tells a family’s story back to them.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
I’m excited to continue growing my newborn and family photography, especially within my new studio space, creating a calm and beautiful experience for families during those early days.
I would also love to continue stepping into birth photography, as well as expanding into elopements and weddings – capturing the beginning of a story as it unfolds.
My goal is to tell the whole story, from the strength and emotion of birth, to the tenderness of newborn days, to growing families and all the moments in between. Images that feel honest, connected and timeless.
If you’re drawn to this way of capturing your family, I would be honoured to tell your story.
