The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Birth and recovery weren’t my challenges – I was fortunate to have a beautiful home birth, a true dream experience. But postpartum? That was where the real test began.
With little village support beyond my amazing partner, I found myself navigating the early days of motherhood largely on my own.
At the same time, because I am a doer, I was building a business in my mind from the ground up while adjusting to life with a newborn. Sleep deprivation, self-doubt and the unpredictability of motherhood all tested me.
The biggest challenge? Balancing ambition with presence – being fully there for my daughter while creating something meaningful for other mothers. Because both these things get me excited!
The solution? Taking it one step at a time, learning to ask for help and embracing the journey – knowing that every challenge is shaping both the business and the mother I’m becoming.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The best part? The freedom to create something meaningful, the connection with other mums and the joy of seeing women regain their confidence.
The hardest part? The financial investment, the uncertainty and wearing all the hats – founder, marketer, stylist and mother. But passion fuels me and knowing that Latch • Luxe is making a difference keeps me going.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We’re on the brink of launch, and I couldn’t be more excited! The vision is to expand the collection, collaborate with like-minded brands, and create a community where mums feel seen, stylish and supported. One day, I hope to introduce personal styling services and even a physical space where mums can connect over fashion and motherhood.
