Your Path to Whole Woman Wellness & Intentional Mothering

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

In a world where society still treats symptoms to complicated health issues with a mostly acute approach, I often feel like an imposter when I offer something like a cup of nutrient-dense broth and some lacto-fermented veggies in addition to the doctor-recommended protocols. Yet more and more, we’re finding that doctors and nurses agree and are adding “functional” to their practices, because they realise that root cause and prevention can be far reaching in almost every human health experience.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Most of my adult life has been in small business or non-profit business. Working from the fuel of one’s vision and gifts has tremendous motivating capacities, but it also makes it hard to let go of control and recognise that there are many others who are better at doing things than I am. I have to remember that the mission is what’s important, not my pride or ego to “do it all.”

Hopes and dreams: What next?

Building Woman Activated is new for me. Sustaining growth and a structured business model is enough for now, however, my dream is to one day teach as many mums as possible about the importance of the development of their child’s autonomic nervous system development (imagination, intuition, creativity, emotions) and how they can best meet their child for optimising this development. This dream plays out in many forms in my head: classes, retreats, apps, media. But the more mums who understand the importance and commit to healthy child nervous system development, the better off our future world will be. The action I take today in order to reach that vision is to help mums to be healthy. This is the first step.
