Rachel Zahner’s journey into spiritual healing and motherhood is one of personal healing, learning to love herself and making peace with her emotions. A highly sensitive soul with a lifelong connection to energy and intuition, Rachel now supports mothers and children through Spirit Baby Communication, Energy Healing, and Intuitive Guidance. What began as a personal quest has evolved into a deeply transformative practice that bridges the spiritual and emotional needs of both parent and child. Through her own experiences of conscious conception, energetic pregnancy and parenting two sensitive children, Rachel has cultivated a unique perspective on what it means to nurture not just a child, but a soul. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind what she does, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
I have always had a desire to help others and in a holistic way. As a child I used to intuitively choose crystals for friends and family from my collection to help them feel better. However my real inspiration to offer spiritual healing and spirit baby communication was due to my own personal healing journey and the profound shifts I experienced.
I have always been deeply feeling or highly sensitive and went through periods of depression, eating disorders and the process of learning to love myself and make peace with my emotions. Leaning into spiritual healing, releasing old energies from past lives and karmic patterns and healing my inner child helped me recover from these dis-eases in my being. I wanted to help others find self-love and freedom from mental health challenges, just as I had. I began offering past life healing and Angelic Reiki, Pleiadian Lightwork and then taught Angelic Reiki until I gave birth to my son.
It was the conception of my son that shifted the focus of my work. I had been communicating with his soul before conception. The moment of his conception was a profound experience! I felt myself leave my body through my womb portal, connect with his soul in spirit and bring him back into my body. I felt him land with the most expansive heart opening. I knew at that moment I was pregnant! I continued to communicate with him and felt at times there was energy that needed to shift. With the support from trusted practitioners, he showed us past lives and soul contracts that needed clearing for him to happily grow inside me, for me to feel confident and calm in my pregnancy and for us to birth at home naturally. He showed me the power of spirit baby communication and during a spirit baby communication session, my son shared that he would change the path of my work – which he has! I always knew he would be a boy with a sensitive, deeply feeling soul, a kind heart and a strong will. I was not wrong about that, and what a learning journey and gift he is! He needed a lot of holding (both physically and emotionally) as a baby, toddler and young child. He still needs a lot of guidance to support his sensitivities and although I don’t love labels, I see his deeply feeling and highly sensitive being.
My daughter’s conception came with a different energy. I felt her presence strongly after my son was five months old. Her soul lingered above me, waiting, but I wasn’t ready for her. When I became pregnant again, she struggled to fully come in. I knew I was two weeks pregnant but she wasn’t landing and she wasn’t implanting into my womb. During a Pleiadian Lightwork and spirit baby session, the healer and I were able to release fears about whether I could love another child as much as my son. The soul of my daughter needed to know that she would be just as loved. I needed to trust I could raise a daughter. Only then did she settle into my womb.
My daughter had a very different energy! I felt like she was from such a different vibration that coming to Earth was difficult for her. I was exhausted during her pregnancy, trying to assimilate to her frequency! Again, I felt like I needed help with my connection with her. During another session, soul contracts with her and other family members were released. I felt her soul drop into my body at the same time as my therapist saw her soul drop – it was a very special moment! At my due date I still hadn’t gone into labour. I had tried all the tricks to induce labour. I reached out again to my friend/healer and told her what was happening. When she communicated with my daughter, she told her that she would also be here for her even when I couldn’t see her for her true self. From a distance, she sang her in and within the next 12 hours, I went into labour. I strongly feel that my daughter needed an extra person to hold her. I have a lot of generational patterns from my mother and beyond that needed breaking in this life. My daughter knew she was coming to shake things up and to help me break those patterns.
I continued to communicate with my children on a soul level after their births and have continued to tune into their being and support them in a holistic and energetic way. There are many more stories I could share including helping my daughter heal her eczema after clearing the energy of a past life where she burnt in a house fire and I couldn’t get to her in time.
The souls coming to Earth now are wise beyond their years! They are coming in with a much higher frequency and love consciousness to raise the vibration here. Yet some still have old trauma and karma that stop their full heart expansion. Because of the difference in vibration of these souls, a mother carrying such a child needs to adjust her own vibration. Often this difference in vibration causes nausea and morning sickness. Energy healing raises the mother’s vibration and balances the energies between mother and baby,
As we know, everything is stored in the body – all the memories – fears – trauma, etc. There are many ways that this can be released from the body and from the cellular memory. Clearing past life and current life fears, previous traumatic birthing experiences and early childhood experiences allows mother and child to have a different experience in this life or this time around.
My work has continued to change and evolve over the years, yet it has always been my own experiences that shape what I offer in a soul-driven way.
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I started out offering Angelic Reiki Sessions and Past Life Healing to friends and family. I then began teaching Angelic Reiki because I loved how it had changed my life! As I became more confident in my work and overcame my fears of being seen doing ‘woohoo’ work, I began offering sessions to my community. During my pregnancy, my spirit baby communication skills started coming online. These skills expanded as my children grew and I had daily practice to communicate energetically with them.
I put all of my focus into my son, then my daughter came along and once she was a bit older, I ran some workshops again, helping people connect to their intuition. When my children were four and two years old, I realised major burnout had developed. I needed time to recoup and have found my energy again this year.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
Last year, I had the privilege of attending The Codes of Ascension Wild Dolphin retreat in the Bahamas with my close friend and amazing animal communicator and spiritual healer Rebecca Gambles. On the retreat, during meditation and in telepathic communication with the dolphins, I received a clear message: Be here for the children.
Initially, I thought it meant just my children, yet since the retreat, souls have been coming to me in my dreams, asking me to help them release karma so they can anchor here through their new mothers. In meditation, I feel and see the souls waiting to be assisted in.
I am here to support not only my own children but also assist incoming souls, highly sensitive children and their parents. I feel deeply called to assist the souls that are here to raise the vibration on Earth and carry the love frequency.
