Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I don’t really think there is such a thing as mum and business balance. It’s very give and take and I’ve learnt that no matter how well we try, we will always have that mum guilt. But now I have way more grace and I celebrate every single win that I have. I look at the positives not the negatives.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The biggest challenge has been managing to find small pockets of time at home with three kids under four and running a business. But I love what I do, so it’s my form of self-care and I look forward to those pockets of time.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are that I am truly my own boss. I can dictate how much time I spend on my business and I can adjust my days according to the needs of my kids.
The con is that I can’t switch off! Ha! I am always either thinking about something that’s coming up or I am planning.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My dream is to have a warehouse in my local town and a team of mums coming and going, also working around their little ones. I would love to gift other mothers the flexibility to work around their time with their little ones.
