One of the challenges we’ve had to overcome is to keep our prices competitive. There is so much inferior quality imported merino available on the market now. Some of this his has damaged the good reputation of the quality merino we use.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The best thing about running your own business is that you can fit it around your family and choose to work the hours that best suit your life. You’re not answerable to anyone except yourself. It also gives you a great sense of satisfaction of having created something from nothing which is a rewarding feeling.
One of the drawbacks of having your own business is that it’s always there…you can’t just switch it off for a few weeks if you are feeling particularly ‘snowed under’.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
The dream would be to have our range well established throughout the world, and have children in colder climates everywhere be able to experience joys of the gorgeous warmth and softness of our quality merino range.
