Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
The balance between work and family was collaboratively combining the two together. We made Green Sense a family affair where we did what we loved together to produce beautiful cleaners, creating small-batch formulas, dispensing, labelling and combining the goodness together to ship out to our customers. It’s a team effort and with flexibility key to a healthy, happy, and functioning family.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
To overcome the fear of failure was the biggest challenge I have personally faced, however with that being said, I believed in myself It’s so much easier said than done but each day I would wake up with determination and remind myself why I’m here and what I want to achieve day to day. It can be so beneficial in achieving just that and going to bed each night satisfied and excited for tomorrow.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros surely outweigh the cons if you have the right attitude.
I look at the cons as a test to overcome and turn into a positive. Each lesson is a learning curve and I have been thankful for these along the way.
The flexibility and ability to create have been the strongest pros that keep me going. The wins along the way are bonuses!
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My hopes and dreams are to add value to ourselves, our homes, gardens, lifestyle and wellbeing: beautifully crafting everyday relevant products that are good for us and good for the earth.
