The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Managing time is a significant challenge for me. Alongside running my Little Pom Pom business, I work as a nurse and a sessional educator. Finding personal time in this busy schedule has always been tough. However, I’ve learned the importance of switching off in the evenings and making space for some much-needed ‘me time’ now and then. This balance helps me recharge and continue to thrive in all my roles.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Pros: There’s something incredibly fulfilling about working on my own dream. Running Little Pom Pom is more than just a business; it’s a dream in progress. Being my own boss allows me the freedom to manage tasks and my time on my terms.
Cons: However, it comes with its challenges. My mind is always on, often switching gears unexpectedly. It’s not uncommon for me to wake up in the middle of the night with a new idea, finding myself jotting down thoughts when I should be sleeping.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We’re super excited about this year at Little Pom Pom! We’ve got new products launching soon, and we’re also working on more publication. Our goal is big and bold – we want every parent in Australia to know about us. We’re not just about products; we’re building a community for parents to trust and join.
